Special Olympics torch ceremony at the Korean Bell of Friendship tomorrow

Special Olympics torch run

The Flame of Hope arrives in San Pedro at the USS Iowa on Tuesday, July 21. The Special Olympics torch runners will be in San Pedro again this Thursday.

All the way from Greece comes the Flame of Hope to our hamlet by the sea. This Thursday, July 23, the torch will be carried by law enforcement and athletes to a ceremony at the Korean Bell of Friendship before ending up at the Special Olympics World Games at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

The torch will be carried from the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium to the Korean Bell of Friendship from 8:15am – 8:25am. The ceremony will take place at the bell from  Continue reading

There are a lot of fun things to do this weekend. As well as the events below, the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium also has a few things going on like their weekend Tidepool Walks. And don’t forget to think up some good April Fools jokes for Sunday!
