ANGELS GATE PARK
Angels Gate Cultural Center Situated on a bluff overlooking the Pacific, with notable views of ocean, harbor and hills, the Center presents a year-round schedule of gallery exhibitions, classes and international residencies. Korean Bell of Friendship Incredible views abound from the site high on the hill overlooking Santa Catalina Island where this 17 ton bell stands. The bell was a gift from the people of the Republic of Korea to the people of Los Angeles in 1976 to celebrate the bicentennial of the United States. International Bird Rescue Research Center The Los Angeles Oiled Bird Care and Education Center, is a 10,000 square foot facility designed to house up to 1,000 birds at a time. It also houses an education program and aquatic bird rehabilitation program. An estimated 40,000 schoolchildren visit the facility annually. Because wild birds are scared easily, the general public isn’t allowed to wander through the rehabilitation center. Marine Mammal Care Center A hospital for ill, injured and orphaned marine mammals, primarily California sea lions, northern elephant seals, harbor seals and northern fur seals. The Care Center is involved in the education of students, school teachers and the general public. Animal care can be viewed from the fence line. Staff and volunteers answer questions and explain the purpose and general operations of the Center. Fort MacArthur Museum The Museum was established in 1985, and is housed in the corridors and galleries of historic Battery Osgood-Farley. The Fort MacArthur Reservations hold an important collection of historical structures which were part of the U.S. Army’s role in the defense of the American continental coastline from invasion.

BOGDONAVICH RECREATION CENTER
This recreation center has unparalleled views. The center has an auditorium, baseball diamond, basketball courts, childrens play area, football field, indoor gym, and soccer field. DEANE DANA FRIENDSHIP PARK & NATURE CENTER
Deane Dana Friendship Community Regional Park is a 123 acre natural area park located on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The park offers dramatic panoramic views of Catalina Island, Los Angeles and Long Beach Harbors, Los Angeles to the north, and the San Bernardino Mountain ranges. Several hiking trails wind you through restored Coastal sage scrub habitat along the wind blown hillsides. Two ADA-accessible buses take patrons to the popular Vista point trailhead, also ADA –accessible. A beautiful 4,000 square foot nature center features a natural history museum, indoor and outdoor classrooms and live animal displays. POINT FERMIN LIGHTHOUSE Built in 1874, the Point Fermin Lighthouse is an early Victorian Stick Style on the National Register of Historic Places. On December 7th, 1941, Pearl Harbor was bombed and the coast was blacked out for fear of being a beacon to enemy ships and planes. Sadly, the light was never to be lit again. Open for tours. 807 W. WHITE POINT NATURE PRESERVE The 102-acre White Point Nature Preserve was preserved as natural open space in December 1999. It features acres of coastal habitat on a scenic site overlooking the ocean and Catalina Island. A half-mile handicapped accessible pathway circles the wildflower grasslands on the flatter areas, while trails crisscross the slopes covered with coastal sage scrub habitat. Interpretive signage explaining the restoration efforts and the unique history of the site are located along the trails. In the future, there will be a nature center and demonstration garden. 1600 W.
